Rebel Wilson had a bloody accident while filming her new action comedy “Bride Hard.”

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Wilson recalled a “massive injury” she sustained during the production of her new film, which resulted from a mishap in fight scene choreography.

“In a fight scene, a gun accidentally got whacked across my face,” Wilson said. “It was just a freak accident, and my nose got split open, so I left set. It was really my last night of shooting. I was like, ‘How unlucky can I be?'”

She went on to say that the accident, which occurred during “the last fight sequence” on the shooting schedule, resulted in a “pool of blood.”

“I was freaking out,” she added. “They take an ambulance and they have to call a plastic surgeon, because if they didn’t, I would have been permanently disfigured. So we got the plastic surgeon, they did all the stitches, and you can’t tell now, really, you can’t tell.”

Helmed by “Con Air” director Simon West, “Bride Hard” follows a wedding taken over by a group of mercenaries. What the assailants don’t know is that the “maid of honor is actually a secret agent ready to rain hellfire upon anyone who would ruin her best friend’s wedding,” according to an official description.

Along with Wilson, the film stars Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Sherry Cola and Stephen Dorff.

In her Variety review of “Bride Hard,” Courtney Howard wrote of the film, “Though a bit rough in its execution, made worse by janky visual effects in the third act, the film is buoyed by the gentle comedic charms of the ensemble, sweet thematic resonance and Jackie Chan-style stuntwork.”
