Broadway and Beyond, a collection of Broadway and arts programming from the WNET Group, has unveiled its 2025 lineup, including premieres from PBS’ “Great Performances” series and the New York streaming platform All Arts.
The 2025 lineup kicks off May 1 with “All Arts’ House Seats: Mandy Gonzalez in Concert,” featuring numbers from “West Side Story,” “Hamilton,” “Wicked” and “Fearless,” a “personal anthem” written for her by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The concert also features a collaboration with Long Island University’s Musical Theatre Department, whose student performers join Gonzalez for a finale that includes Katy Perry’s “Firework.” All Arts will also host weekly premieres across its broadcast and YouTube channels, streaming app, and social media accounts.
PBS’s “Great Performances” lineup features the West End transfer of “Next to Normal” starring Cassie Levy, Jamie Parker, Jack Wolfe and Eleanor Worthington-Cox the week of May 5. “Next to Normal” is followed by David Henry Hwang’s comedy “Yellow Face” starring Daniel Dae Kim the week of May 12. The Great Performances lineup also includes “Girl from the North Country” written and directed by celebrated Conor McPherson and featuring reimagined songs from Bob Dylan.
Bartlett Sherr’s “Kiss Me, Kate” starring Stephanie J. Block and Adrian Dunbar rounds out the “Great Performances” series the week of May 26. Additional highlights from All Arts programming includes the return of the docuseries Broadway Sandwich (May 7 to June 11), the documentary “Playing the Palace” (May 13), the digital series “How Art Changed Me” (May 19 and 26) and “House Seats: The Gathering: A Journey to Grace” (June 18).
