International supermodel and actor Lin Chi-Ling is making a foray into film and TV financing with the establishment of a dedicated award at the 2025 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF).
The Chi-Ling’s Future Makers Award will provide TWD500,000 ($16,500) each to three selected works in the feature film, animation, and documentary categories, totalling TWD1.5 million ($49,500).
The award will specifically support original works centered on women’s issues, reflecting Lin’s commitment to amplifying female voices in the industry. According to organizers, the initiative “invites content creators to convey a more tender perspective through their images and share love and hope with the world.”
TCCF, organized by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), has expanded significantly for its 2025 edition, which will run Nov. 4-7 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The event’s pitching platform has attracted major European and American sponsors, positioning it as one of Asia’s premier content industry gatherings.
In addition to Lin’s new award, influential Asian Pacific nonprofit Gold House will sponsor a dedicated award for the first time. France’s Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC) continues its partnership with TAICCA, offering a $30,000 prize to one selected project and providing resources to support entry into the European market.
The 2025 pitching program will feature expanded selections across categories, with feature film submissions increasing from 12 to 20, while maintaining 10 general series selections and adding a special themed session titled “If Romance Comes Again” focusing on innovative romance projects. The “Story” segment will grow substantially from 20 to 38 selections, responding to the surging demand for original content in the Asian market.
TAICCA chair Homme Tsai noted that TCCF, now in its sixth year, “has become a key platform for the global industry to discover Mandarin-language and Asian content.”
Taiwan Mobile has also signed an MOU with TAICCA, providing teams selected through TCCF pitching with access to their Commercial Content Creation Talent Program for two years and financial support totalling over TWD3 million ($100,000).
Last year’s event attracted 600 submissions from 50 countries and featured mentorship from high-profile industry figures, including “Shogun” producer Miyagawa Eriko.
Submissions for the 2025 TCCF pitching are now open until July 11, with discounted entry fees available until June 15.
