With the box office success of “How to Train Your Dragon” (taking in nearly $197 million worldwide opening weekend), fans are itching to watch the fantasy adventure movie again and again at home.
If you can’t make it to the movie theater, you can get your hands on the physical media release of “How to Train Your Dragon” with preorders available right now. Although Universal Pictures has yet to announce a release date, preorders are open for DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD releases — starting at $19.99 on Amazon.
In fact, there’s also a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook edition of “How to Train Your Dragon,” which comes with Blu-ray, 4K and digital copies of the movie, and limited-edition artwork and packaging, available for preorder for $38.57.
Additionally, “How to Train Your Dragon” is ready for preorder at Walmart.
While Universal Pictures hasn’t announced a release date, it’s likely that “How to Train Your Dragon” would drop on physical media sometime in late September or early October.
Written and directed by Dean DeBlois, “How to Train Your Dragon” follows Hiccup (Mason Thames), a young Viking boy who befriends a Night Fury dragon named Toothless. And while Vikings and dragons are sworn enemies on the Isle of Berk, Hiccup and Toothless’ friendship may bring an end to centuries of fighting.
The movie stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gabriel Howell, Julian Dennison, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Peter Serafinowicz, Nick Frost, Gerard Butler and others.
